11th December 2014 - SOLO SONG COMPETITION
Children are exposed to and involved with singing from their earliest years. Singing teaches children how to listen and how to enjoy listening. It encourages deep breathing, strengthens memory, gives a child verbal confidence and develops an eagerness to communicate. Singing fosters the growth of the imagination, that essential part of a child's mind that is being increasingly impinged upon by the prevalence of TV, videos, computer games and busy schedules. Singing develops a child's sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
In order to encourage the budding artists and little performers, a Solo Song Competition was organized for the tiny tots of S R World School on 11th, 16th & 17th December. It was indeed a treat to listen to the melodious songs that the children sang with incredible confidence and zest.

3rd December 2014: Day Adventure Camp
“Adventure is not outside man; it’s within.”
A camp can be one of the best experiences for children. Taking healthy risks in a controlled environment allows a safe yet challenging outlet for a child's instinct to explore. Camps provide real-life activities in natural settings unlike theme parks or video games. It helps in developing their skills to foster positive social and emotional development. Being exposed to new experiences and encouraged by friendly and sympathetic adults to try new things helps the child build self-confidence. It is a way by which they can satisfy their need for physical activity, creative expression, and true participation in a safe environment. While at camp, children learn about working and playing together, and making positive contributions in their teams. They acquire first hand multi-sensory knowledge of the natural world.
An Adventure Camp conducted by Rocksport Pvt Ltd was organized at S R World School on Wednesday, 3rd November 2014. The students participated in a variety of exhilarating activities as they jumped, hopped, ran, crawled –under, crawled- over, walked along, went right & left and navigated through tunnels and other challenges. The children enjoyed all the outdoor activities thoroughly. It was a thrilling experience for the little ones.
