A Rhyme Recitation Competition was organized in SRWS on Wednesday, 7 May 2014 for all kindergarten classes. Children participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm. It was difficult for the judges to decide the winners from amongst the bundles of talent on the stage. Children were judged on the basis of articulation, action and confidence. Everyone present applauded each and every performance and encouraged these budding talents. The primary objective of having such events is to boost the confidence of the child, to enable the child to overcome stage fright and to inculcate a positive spirit of competitiveness.

5th May 2014: English Story Telling Competition
Story Telling can encourage students to explore their unique expressiveness and can enhance a student’s ability to communicate thoughts and feelings in an articulate manner. In our fast paced, media driven world, storytelling can be a nurturing way to remind children that their spoken words are powerful, that listening is important, and that clear communication between people is an art. Both telling a story and listening to a well told tale encourages students to use their imagination.
Story Telling is a gentle way to guide young people towards constructive personal values by presenting imaginative situations in which the outcome of both wise and unwise actions and decisions can be seen.
English Story Telling Competition was organized for the students of the Pre primary as well as Classes I & II.
