Special Assembly on Simple Living, High Thinking
18th July 2018: Special Assembly on Simple Living, High Thinking

Simplicity is a great virtue ─ more talked than practised! Simplicity makes life not only easy, comfortable, enjoyable, but beautiful also. The sun shines so simply; the stars twinkle without any subterfuge; rivers flow so innocently; flowers bloom so simply! All great men of all times have been simple personalities. They dedicated all their lives in making the complex the simple. Mahatma Gandhi, Tagore, APJ Abdul Kalam, Mother Teresa, Sarojini Naidu and many more, were all simple beings. However, their thinking was sublimely high.

A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class V on the theme ‘Simple living and High Thinking’ on 18th July 2018. A short skit was presented by the students conveying the message to the audience that we must lead a simple life but at the same time our thinking must not be limited.  They enthralled everyone with their confidence. Different students came up dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, APJ Abdul Kalam and Sarojini Naidu. The students also sang a foot-tapping song highlighting the importance of simple living and high thinking. All the students participated with a lot of zeal and wholeheartedly gave their contribution.
