A special assembly was also conducted where we talked about Srinivasa Ramanujan and his discoveries. Famous mathematicians including Brahmagupta and Shakuntala Devi were also talked upon. It was followed with an interesting quiz where all students participated enthusiastically. Activities like magic squares, logical reasoning, real life situations with use of maths were conducted in different classes. Different real-life scenarios were given to the students to depict the use of maths in them. Scenarios including how to start an online Instagram business, taking a bank loan or what to do when Ola cab driver asks for cash instead of online payment etc were given to the students to analyse their practical application of maths. 20th July 2021: Dress and Depict Activity (PS to II)
Curricular and co curricular activities have an equal importance in school for the all-round development of a child. Keeping this in mind, we at ShreeRam World School, Dwarka conducted the DRESS & DEPICT ACTIVITY for the children of Classes PS to II. The purpose of conducting the activity was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get on the virtual platform and speak in front of an audience.
Children dressed up in their colourful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the book character that they depicted. The activity proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents. This activity sparked their imagination and made them think out of the box. It stimulated creativity in parents when they had to mix-and-match whatever items they could find at home to make their children’s costumes and props. All our little ones were looking adorable. They won our hearts with their exuberance and enthusiasm!
Kudos to all the children and parents for making DRESS & DEPICT ACTIVITY a big success!

09th July 2021: Van Mahotsav Celebration
Plant a tree, Plant a hope for better Future. Van Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting festival in India, celebrated in the first week of July in which thousands of trees are planted all over the country. This movement was initiated in the year 1950 by India’s Union Minister for Agriculture, Kulapati Dr. K M Munshi. Trees and forests play a very crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and providing oxygen to human beings on the planet. The Van Mahotsav week is a reminder that we must protect forests and stop deforestation and practice the 3R’s rule- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the environment and sensitize students about their role in conserving it, ShreeRam World School organised Van Mahotsav Week which was celebrated on the virtual platform. It was an ideal opportunity to instill personal and social responsibility in our students towards safeguarding trees and forests. Students enthusiastically participated in various activities organised to celebrate Van Mahotsav like Vegetative Propagation Activity, Plant a Sapling Activity where students along with the teachers planted soaked seeds and pulses, Creative Cachepot Activity where the students showcased their creativity by decorating pots using paints, stones, pebbles etc. Students also wrote articles on the importance of Van Mahotsav and made videos expressing their views on the importance of trees for sustainability.

05th July 2021: Reading Week Celebration
“Reading is the gateway skill that makes all other learning possible.”
Reading is such a powerful and cheapest way to travel around the world sitting on the chair or lying on the bed. Books work as portals to newer worlds. Reading books enhances your knowledge, improves memory and builds vocabulary. An avid reader can unlock many mysteries and answers of life that can help in making a sound decision in any kind of situation in life. To celebrate the joy of reading books, ShreeRam World School observed ‘Reading Week’ both for English and Hindi languages from classes Preschool-XII through the virtual platform. A variety of activities were conducted to celebrate the Reading Week like Reading Corner where the students along with their parents decorated a small cosy reading corner in their homes with their favourite story books, toys and much more, Poster to spread awareness on ‘Covid Appropriate Behaviour’, Food Craft where the students showcased their creativity using immunity boosting food items, चलचित्र-एकउज्जवलकिरण (कोविडसेउभरनेकी), Diet Chart during COVID times, VIGYAPAN on COVID Vaccination, E-Poster on COVID Attention and Awareness. The main aim behind celebrating the Reading Week was to make the students understand the value of reading, to inculcate the habit of reading in students and to mark the importance of reading in one’s life. 05th June 2021: World Environment Day Celebration
“When we heal the world , we heal ourselves .” World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. The theme of World Environment Day this year is 'Reimagine. Recreate. Restore' and its focal point is ecosystem restoration. "Ecosystem restoration means preventing, halting and reversing this damage to go from exploiting nature to healing it". Students of ShreeRam World School enthusiastically participated in activities endorsing conservation of environment to mark World Environment Day, even from their homes. The day was celebrated with vigour amidst the lockdown. Our students created awareness through virtual activities like slogan writing and poster making on ‘Save Nature, Save Earth’. Students made beautiful and creative bird feeders using waste material available at their homes. Waste disposal is a major cause of environmental degradation. In order to inculcate the awareness about proper waste management, our students prepared two trash cans for the wet and dry waste disposal with the help of waste cardboard boxes. The world cannot afford another pandemic. Let’s come together to save our planet.
