11th December 2014 - SOLO SONG COMPETITION
Children are exposed to and involved with singing from their earliest years. Singing teaches children how to listen and how to enjoy listening. It encourages deep breathing, strengthens memory, gives a child verbal confidence and develops an eagerness to communicate. Singing fosters the growth of the imagination, that essential part of a child's mind that is being increasingly impinged upon by the prevalence of TV, videos, computer games and busy schedules. Singing develops a child's sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
In order to encourage the budding artists and little performers, a Solo Song Competition was organized for the tiny tots of S R World School on 11th, 16th & 17th December. It was indeed a treat to listen to the melodious songs that the children sang with incredible confidence and zest.

28th November 2014: English Story Telling
People of all ages love stories. Children are great fans of stories and love to listen to them. Story telling is an art that has mental, social and educational benefits on children. Through stories children hear about characters, visualize a dramatic representation of problems, how characters choose to solve them and the positive and negative consequences of those choices. They meet characters from their own culture and others, and become familiar with a range of customs, personalities and points of view.
In order to enhance the oratory skills of students and eliminate stage fright, S R World School organized an English Story Telling Activity for the tiny tots of Preschool & Pre primary. The students had fun listening to each other’s stories.

5th May 2014: English Story Telling Competition
Story Telling can encourage students to explore their unique expressiveness and can enhance a student’s ability to communicate thoughts and feelings in an articulate manner. In our fast paced, media driven world, storytelling can be a nurturing way to remind children that their spoken words are powerful, that listening is important, and that clear communication between people is an art. Both telling a story and listening to a well told tale encourages students to use their imagination.
Story Telling is a gentle way to guide young people towards constructive personal values by presenting imaginative situations in which the outcome of both wise and unwise actions and decisions can be seen.
English Story Telling Competition was organized for the students of the Pre primary as well as Classes I & II.
