Talents are not always innate and can be cultivated and nurtured in a proper and conducive environment. Our school organizes a variety of activities for the students every now and then. A talent show was organized for the students of Classes Preschool to Class II in the school in the month of July. There were three categories in the Talent Show namely ‘Solo Dance’, ‘Show & Tell’ and ‘Solo Song’. The students participatedin these activities with great enthusiasm. The main objective of conducting such talent shows is to bring out the hidden talents of the small kids and make them more confident of themselves. Through these talent shows, the kids also become aware of their amazing capabilities. 23rd February 2016: English Story Telling Competition
"Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today."
Children have an innate love for stories. Stories create magic and a sense of wonder at the world. Story telling enhances the children’s vocabulary, teaches them about the world, allows them to use their imagination and creativity and increases their verbal proficiency. To enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students, ShreeRam World School organized an English Story telling competition on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 for the students of classes I (Daisy & Daffodil) and II (Mercury). Students from the different sections participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. These young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. Each story concluded with moral, highlighting different values of life. There is no better way to stir emotions than a good story. The enthusiasm and passion of the students was appreciated by the judges and the audience. Students were encouraged to inculcate the habit of reading books. It was indeed a wonderful experience for the story tellers as well as the audience. The best story tellers:

16th February 2016: Freestyle: Solo Dance Competition
"Dancing is like dreaming with your feet!"
Dance is a natural method for learning and a basic form of cultural expression. Children move naturally. They move to achieve mobility, they move to express a thought or feeling, and they move because it is joyful and feels wonderful. When their movement becomes consciously structured, it becomes dance. Keeping this thought in mind, a ‘Freestyle’ solo dance competition was organized on 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th February for the tiny tots of Preprimary. Freestyle dancing involves different types of dance moves and dance steps, and leaves the dancer free to mix & match and move in any way desired. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm. The small wonders came dressed up in colourful costumes and enthralled the stage with their outstanding performances. Children even made use of interesting props like hats, colours, flags and sticks. The happiness of the children was amply evident with applause and appreciation. The Head of the School appreciated the performance of the children and also encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents. The Best dancers: PREPRIMARY
