14th September 2017: VISIT TO AEROPLANET
“Learning should be a joy and full of excitement. It is life’s greatest adventure, it is an illustrated excursion into the minds of the noble and the learned.”
- Taylor Cardwell
An educational excursion was organised by ShreeRam World School to Aeroplanet, Sector 8, Dwarka for the students of Preschool on 14th September 2017. More than 120 students went for the excursion to enrich their learning.
Aeroplanet was created in year 2005 for imparting Air Travel Safety, etiquette and sports recreation training to schools and colleges. It is a unique project launched for the first time in India where children got the opportunity to board the real airplanes and prepare for safe Air Travel and also learn how to use safety belt, life jacket and oxygen mask.
Children availed the rarest opportunity to see the cockpit. They visited aircrafts and enjoyed passenger cabins and cockpits. Children experienced the ambience of the aircraft which gives a real air travel feel as air hostesses and flight stewards served them sweets in air conditioned passenger cabin.
Each activity was full of fun and adventure. Besides fun, children aimed at team building and social skill development. Children were offered a program which included entry, issue of Boarding Pass, boarding of Airbus A 300, sliding down from aircraft, artificial fire and smoke drill.
Sense of curiosity and excitement was truly invoked among the students by the magician whose show provided a good visual experience. Overall it was a brilliant experience and the children came out dazzled, enlightened and illuminated.

23rd August 2017: Stories of our freedom
“It does not matter who among us will live to see India free. It is enough that India shall be free and that we shall give our all to make her free.”
- SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE
In continuation with the Independence day celebrations, ShreeRam World School organized ‘Stories of our Freedom’ for classes III to V with great enthusiasm and respect for all those brave souls who laid down their lives and sacrificed their dreams to achieve the bigger dream of a free country. It makes us proud and fills our heart with gratitude. Proud, because this freedom was hard earned and is priceless and gratitude towards those millions of hearts whose grit and determination helped us see the dawn of a free and glorious nation, INDIA.
Freedom means being free from the shackles of every vice that may hamper our development and cripple our mind-set. The students of this country thus bear tremendous responsibility of acquiring a broad vision. We have to remember that we are fortunate to have been born in a free country; we don't have to fight for our intrinsic rights which our predecessors have already accomplished, so our goal lies in enhancing our land's richness and growth.
This activity helped the students to appreciate the freedom struggle with respect, compassion and responsibility. The people of the past made sure to reward us with this freedom and the people of the present should take it upon themselves to make the country a better place and secure it for the future. Only then will we achieve freedom in the true sense. The students were able to understand this through the different stories narrated. The event was a success and it truly helped to enrich the young minds.

26th July 2017: Special Assembly on Road Safety
“Safety first is safety always.”
Road safety is an issue of prime concern to all. Be it a pedestrian, rickshaw puller or a vehicle driver, anyone can fall prey to mishaps on roads. Road safety education is vital to enable children to be able to keep themselves as safe as possible on the roads.
Road safety education is essential in today's world as road traffic is becoming increasingly busy. By imparting this knowledge, we will be able to protect our children from dangers caused by road accidents. We can give them certain facts, show the possible dangers and risks involved, explain ways to keep them safe and develop their skills in understanding the consequences. It plays a vital role in shaping the attitude and behavior of children, thereby ensuring that they become responsible drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists as they grow.
Students of Class III A made an attempt to reduce the number of such unfortunate incidences by sensitizing other students of ShreeRam World School towards this global issue by organizing a special assembly on 26th July 2017. The importance of obeying traffic rules while travelling on the roads were discussed. Students were enlightened on the issue so as to make them responsible road users. The aim of the assembly was to enhance respect for one’s life and that of others, and inculcate the sensitivity that each life matters, thereby inspiring students to act responsibly on the road and make Indian roads the safest in the world.

20th July 2017: Workshop on Etiquettes
“Etiquette is the science of living. It embraces everything. It is ethics. It is honour.”
‘Manners make a man' is true in its essence. Manners incorporate acceptable social behaviour that makes a human different from a brute. In a society, one must function according to certain acceptable norms as a person is known by his or her politeness, etiquettes and mannerisms. A man or a woman is esteemed and distinguished on account of his or her good manners. Etiquette is merely a set of guidelines for inculcating virtues such as courtesy and modesty, and the exemplary behaviour that will set us apart from others.
hildren with fine etiquettes always make their parents proud. Learning social skills in school makes the child confident to behave in a plethora of gatherings by leaving a lasting first impression. With this objective, ShreeRam World School organised a fun, interactive and effective workshop by the teachers for the students of Classes III-VIII, on making them learn the importance of etiquettes, social skills and table manners to empower them to become confident, considerate and respectful of themselves and others. They were taught how to use various types of cutlery, napkins and serving manners. Informative videos of learning the aforementioned skills were watched by children enthusiastically. They fruitfully gathered requisite knowledge to play the role of a gentleman or woman in our society.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"
The frontiers of our country, which are our borders, are guarded by our country's brave armed forces. The Indian armed forces consist of three professional services: The Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. The Indian armed forces are supported by the Indian Coast Guard and paramilitary organisations. The President of India is the supreme commander of the Indian armed forces.

The students also presented a dance performance showcasing the turbulent lives of our soldiers.
The Head of School, Mrs Sudha Sadangi, motivated and enriched the young minds by emphasizing the reason we sleep in peace today is because of the sleepless nights of our guardians at the borders. We might not be able to go to the border and fight with them, but we musthonour their sacrifice by making a commitment to serve our nation and each other. 07th July 2017: Plant a Sapling Activity
“He who plants a tree, plants a hope.”
Planting one tree means planting a whole living system. The garden is a veritable wonderland for young children, with so many natural processes to watch, observe and delight in. As children are naturally curious about how things grow and evolve, it's never too early to get them digging and planting. Students of classes Preschool, Preprimary, I and II planted a variety of saplings from 5th July to 7th July 2017. The aim of the plantation drive was to sensitise them on the need to befriend nature and understand the importance of trees around us. Awareness about environment encourages students to nurture plants in school as well as their home. The little ones were full of zeal when they realised that the saplings planted by them will one day grow into vibrant, beautiful trees and will benefit everyone for years to come.
