07th December 2019: Excursion to Surajgarh Farms, Gurugram
As part of our ongoing process of giving our students an educative experience in the form of excursions and educational trips and to encourage the spirit of adventure and fitness among the young ones, ShreeRam World School organised an excursion to Surajgarh Farms, Gurugram on Saturday 7th December 2019 for all the students of classes IV to IX. On reaching the campsite, the students were divided into various groups and each group was assigned a guide as the team leader. After a sumptuous breakfast, the kids were taken for various adventurous and thrilling activities like zip lining, wall climbing, camel and bullock cart rides, to name a few. Encouraging one another, the kids not only accomplished the activities but also enjoyed participating in them to the brim. The level of energy and enthusiasm exhibited by the students was enthralling. A dance session at the end completed the fun quotient of the visit and made the day a cherished memory for all.

29th November 2019: Twirl and Twist
“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”
A vibrant dance competition ‘Twirl and Twist was conducted for the young students of classes Presschool-II in the last week of November, where they were given a platform to explore their talents, express their feelings with confidence and remove stage fear through dance performances of different styles. The participants delivered energetic and awesome performances and rocked the stage. Preschoolers danced ‘Freestyle’ while Preprimary rocked the dance floor with foot tapping ‘Retro’ songs. Class I had the theme of ‘Western Dance’ while the stage came alive when Class II performed spectacular ‘Folk Dances of India’. The attractive dance costumes, fluid dance movements and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winners. The effort put in by the parents to make the performances lively and vibrant is indeed appreciable.

21st November 2019: Spin a Yarn
The history of storytelling dates back to thousands of years. Stories can be used to shape vision, to pass on knowledge and wisdom, and to shape identity and organizational culture.
A ‘Spin a Yarn’ Competition was conducted for classes III, IV and V on Thursday, 21st November, 2019. The topics provided by CBSE were based on the subjects English, Hindi, Maths and EVS. The students from all the classes actively took part in the competition. It was an engrossing and entertaining event. The students spectacularly narrated the stories using creative props, voice modulation and impressive expressions displaying sheer confidence and enthusiasm. The stories were adjudged on the basis of content, confidence and presentation skills of the children. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. Such competitions help in building strong oratory skills, boost confidence, improve communication skills and help in development of vocabulary and fluency.
Overall, it was an enriching experience, where the students learnt to speak up their thoughts.

18th November 2019: Space Explorers Workshop
ShreeRam World School in its continuous endeavour to bring the best and the latest in the field of education to its students, organized the following hands-on workshops for the students of Classes I-IX on 18th November 2019 in association with SPACE Organization:
ABC of Light (Classes I-II): The students were made to understand the importance of light in our lives. They learnt various properties of light during the workshop. They also explored the formation of shadows as a result of blockage of light and participated in various activities.
Interview with the Sun (Classes III-V): The students were made to understand various facts about the Sun like size, shape, distance etc. Other than this, they also learnt new information like why Sun is so bright, why we are not able to see the Sun clearly and so on.
Solar Observation with Safe Methods (Classes VI-IX): The students learnt about the Sun; different layers of the sun and the various solar features and the phenomenon related to them. They also learnt the ways to observe the Sun safely and realised the importance of using safe methods for solar observation. They learnt to make a ball projector and made their own ball projectors and used them to observe the Sun safely. They were also given Solar View Goggles to observe the Sun safely.
The children participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm and excitement. At the end of the session, the students were given a kit for hands-on activities.

01st November 2019: Excursion to Kidzania
ShreeRam World School organised an educational and interactive tour for the students of class II to KidZania, Delhi NCR on 1st November 2019.
KidZania is a global indoor entertainment and learning centre that emulates a real city built to educate students on various professional jobs.
Students were fascinated by the indoor theme park which is paved with roads, buildings, vehicles and fully functional economy that gave opportunity to students to enact important roles and conceptualize various real-life scenarios, through interactive and fun activities.
Students participated in various role-playing activities like nursing in hospital, policemen, food factory workers, courier delivery boys, firefighters etc.
The trip was a perfect edutainment for the students who learned skills through activities and work experience in various professions. It was overall an enjoyable and enriching experience for them as it stimulated and generated their curiosity.

24th October 2019: ShreeRam World School shines at Central Science Exhibition 2019
Aevish Dhall and Aditya Marya of Class IV have done the school proud by clinching the winning trophy at the Central Level Science Exhibition 2019 held at Govt. Snr. Sc. School, Sector 2, Dwarka on 24th October 2019. The theme of the exhibition was Future Transport and Communication and the students from the school have now been selected for the State Level Science Exhibition. Kudos!

17th October 2019: Oral Hygiene Workshop
A workshop on Oral Hygiene was organised for the students of Classes I-V on 17 October 2019 at ShreeRam World School.
The session included facts about oral health and hygiene, educating students about correct brushing techniques, oral hygiene activities and quiz along with fun sports activities.
The aim of the workshop was to tackle the growing menace of screen time in the lives of children by motivating them to adopt an active lifestyle by engaging them in fun activities and challenges along with oral hygiene programme.The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and had good takeaways from it.

14th October 2019: CBSE Roller Skating Championship 2019
Anika Dhoot of Class III won the Bronze medal in the CBSE Skating Competition 2019, organized at G.R International School, Bawana on 14th October 2019. She participated in the 1000 mtrs Long Race Under-8 age group category. The atmosphere was vibrant with more than 80 schools and many National level players participating in the event and showcasing their talent.

05th October 2019: Fit India Plogging Campaign
Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter. It started as an organised activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution. Organizing Fit India Plogging Run at many places as possible would be a befitting tribute to the Father of the Nation.Keeping all this in view, ShreeRam World School conducted various activities on 1st of October 2019 within the school premises. A special assembly was conducted to sensitize about Single Use Plastic and why it should be completely avoided. A small skit was enacted by the students to highlight the consequences of use of plastic. Pledge was taken by the students as well as teachers to not to use single use plastic in day to day life. To conclude, the Head of School enlightened the students about Single Use Plastic hazards and encouraged them to be the part of this campaign with their families. Plogging activity was performed by the students of classes IVth and VIIth. They were made aware how in a fun way they can keep their school and surroundings clean. Students made beautiful posters on the theme of Single Use Plastic hazards under the guidance of their parents and teachers. Through this, the school made the parents aware about the campaign.

03rd October 2019: Career Counselling Session
ShreeRam World School organized a career counselling session for the students and parents of classes VIII to X on 3rd October, 2019. Jitin Chawla, Director of Centre for Career Development and a renowned career counsellor, was invited to guide the students and their parents with information about the various career options. Mr Chawla informed the audience about the various subject streams and subject combinations. A brief description of the most sought-after and conventional career options followed. He also emphasized on the importance of making informed decisions. He guided the students to identify their interests and what they are good at. The workshop concluded with an interactive question answer session. Overall, the session was informative and enriching for the students and the parents.

26th September 2019: प्रेरक लघु कथाएँ
‘श्री राम वर्ल्ड स्कूल’ में ' प्रेरक लघु कथाएँ ' प्रतियोगिता के अंतर्गत छात्रों ने कई रोचक व दिलचस्प कथाएँ सुनाई। इस प्रतियोगिता में तीसरी कक्षा से पांचवी कक्षा तक के छात्रों ने हिस्सा लिया। प्रत्येक छात्र ने बड़े ही उत्साह के साथ अपनी अभिनय कला को सबके सम्मुख प्रस्तुत किया। छात्रों ने विभिन्न प्रोत्साहित करने वाली कथाओं से सभी को अवगत करवाया और इन कथाओं के माध्यम से एक अमिट छाप छोड़ी। इस प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से छात्रों में आत्मविश्वास और संवादात्मक कौशल रचना को बल मिला।

12th September 2019: १४ सितंबर २०१९: हिंदी दिवस
हिंदी के महत्त्व को बताने और इसके प्रचार प्रसार के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 14 सितंबर को हिंदी दिवस के तौर पर मनाया जाता है। ' श्रीराम वर्ल्ड स्कूल ' में भी बड़े उत्साह के साथ हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष में छात्रों के लिए विभिन्न रचनात्मक और रोचक गतिविधियों एवं प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। विद्यालय के सबसे छोटे प्री-प्राइमरी और प्री-स्कूल के उभरते कलाकारों ने काव्यांजलि तथा पंचतंत्र की कहानी वाचन में अपनी अलौकिक बौद्धिक शक्ति का परिचय दिया। कक्षा पहली और दूसरी के छात्रों ने पंचतंत्र की कहानियों के साथ-साथ नुक्कड़ नाटक में हिस्सा लिया| कक्षा तीसरी से पांचवी तक के छात्रों ने अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाते हुए ‘प्रेरक लघु कथाएँ’ प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया । साथ ही कक्षा छठी से आठवीं तक के छात्रों ने अपनी अभिनयकला का परिचय देते हुए 'कथाकार' गतिविधि में पूरे उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया । हिंदी की महत्त्वता और उसका मूल्य समझते हुए विभिन कक्षाओं के छात्रों ने सुलेख और ' मात्राओं का सफ़र ' कार्यशाला में भी भाग लिया ताकि वह हिंदी भाषा को बेहत्तर तरीके से लिखे और समझ सकें। वही दूसरी ओर विशेष सभा का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें कक्षा पांचवी 'ब' के छात्रों ने अपनी कल्पनाशक्ति और अभिनयकला का परिणाम देते हुए ‘हिंदी बारह खड़ी मात्राओं’ से सम्बंधित एक रोचक नाटक प्रस्तुत किया | छात्रों ने इस अवसर पर हिंदी समूह गीत भी प्रस्तुत किया तथा हिंदी प्रश्नावली के अंतर्गत कई रोचक प्रश्न भी छात्रों से पूछे गए। सभी ने इस गतिविधि का भरपूर आनंद लिया। ये गतिविधियाँ न केवल आनंद लेने के लिए बल्कि हिंदी भाषा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

04th September 2019: SRWS excels at Zonal Competitions 2019-20
Students from ShreeRam World School have performed extremely well in the Zonal Science & Cultural Competitions 2019-20. Ashmita Sarkar and Prachi Bhakal of Class VIII have won the First position and Aditya Marya and Aevish Dhall of Class IV have won the fifth position in the Zonal Science Exhibition 2019 held at Govt Co-ed Sr. Sec. School, Sec 2, Dwarka on the themes ‘Sustainable Agricultural practices’ and ‘Future Transport & Communication’ respectively.
A group of 12 girls from Classes VI-IX have won the Third position in the Zonal Folk Song Competition held at ITL Public School, Sector 9, Dwarka. The presentations and performances delivered by the students fascinated the audience and were well-appreciated.

21st August 2019: Dress to Impress - Great Indians of Yesteryears
ShreeRam World School organised the 'Dress to Impress Competition' for students of class IV on 21st Aug’19 with the theme ‘Great Indians of Yesteryears’. The children came dressed in the costumes and spoke about the characters they were enacting with great interest and ardour. The competition helped to build their conversational skills and confidence. It brought an amiable ambience and the judges appreciated with words of encouragement. It was indeed a mesmerizing event which would be etched in our memory for a very long time.

16th August 2019: Dress to Impress: Class III
ShreeRam World School organized ‘Dress To Impress’- A Ramp walk for the students of class III with the theme 'Traditional Attire of India' on 16thAugust 2019. The aim of this activity was to familiarise the students with the traditional attire of different states of India. All the participants were beautifully dressed up in various states’ attire and enjoyed the ramp walk with full confidence and zeal. The students represented different states like Nagaland, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Goa, Uttar Pradesh and many more. It was an overwhelming experience for them where they got the platform to learn about Indian culture.

31st July 2019: Eat Healthy Be Healthy- Dress to Impress
ShreeRam World School organized a Fancy Dress Competition for the little ones of Preschool on the theme ‘EAT HEALTHY BE HEALTHY’ on 31st July 2019. The enthusiastic students came dressed as healthy food items and delivered the strong message of eating healthy food and including healthy eating habits in our daily routine. It was overwhelming to see the small children speaking confidently. Students were smartly dressed and participated with much zeal and enthralled everyone with their endearing acts.

31st July 2019: SRWS excels in Euphony 2019-20
Young dancers Anushka, Bani and Angel of Class VI bagged the trophy for the second position in ‘Trio-The Mini Crew’ Dance Competition; Samaira Batra of Class III, Gannan Dua of Class IV and Jaskeerat Kaur of Class V won the trophy for the second position in 'Indistan ki saer (Jingle all the way)' event in ‘Euphony’, held at The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka. The environment was vibrant with over 50 schools across Delhi participating in the event. Kudos to the achievers!

30th July 2019: First Position at ‘Clash of Titans'
Ankit Goswami of Class VII and Ashmita Sarkar of Class VIII have done the school proud by winning trophies for the First Position in ‘Clash of Titans 2.0’, an Inter-School Debate Fest on 30th July 2019 held at St. Thomas’ School, Dwarka. The atmosphere was vibrant with students from many prestigiuos schools participating in the event. Well done!

26th July 2019: PRAKRITI-OUR PRECIOUS NATURE: Dress to Impress-Preprimary
The students and staff members of ShreeRam World School witnessed a Fancy Dress Competition on the theme ‘PRAKRITI-OUR PRECIOUS NATURE’ on 26th July 2019. The event was organized for the tiny tots of all the sections of Class Preprimary. The talented children came dressed as biotic and abiotic components of nature delivering a strong message about saving our Mother Earth. It was an enthralling event as children performed with great zeal and confidence. The little wonders captivated the audience with their fascinating costumes and oratory skills. It was a wonderful learning experience for them.

25th July 2019: Poets' Combat
"Poetry is a beautiful way of expressing feelings."
ShreeRam World School organized an inter-section Poets’ Combat for the students of Classes I and II on 24th and 25th July 2019 with the themes ‘Water World’ and ‘Gadgets’ respectively. This provided students with an opportunity to exhibit their talent through mesmerizing poems. Students came forward confidently and recited poems with enthusiasm. The Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi appreciated the efforts of all the students and motivated children to come forward in the forthcoming competitions.

24th July 2019: Little Sports Stars of SRWS

22nd July 2019: SRWS SHINES AT ALL GIRLS' ROUND OF BEHES!
Students of ShreeRam World School participated in the All Girls' Behes Inter-School Debate Competition held at Queen’s Valley School, Dwarka on 20th and 22nd July 2019. The theme for the event was ‘Women Empowerment’. It provided them an opportunity to enhance their public speaking, critical thinking and negotiating skills. It is a matter of great pride that four out of the five teams that participated from the school qualified for the Knockout Round which was held on Day 2. The Best Speakers were felicitated with medals:

17th July 2019: VAN MAHOTSAV 2019 AT SHREERAM WORLD SCHOOL
“When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and seeds of hope.”
ShreeRam World School, Sector 10, Dwarka organized ‘SHRISHTI’, an awareness campaign through Van Mahotsav, a Tree Plantation Drive from 9th July to 17th July 2019 in order to sensitise young students towards the urgent need to nurture and preserve our environment. The students of classes VII and VIII visited the nearby District Park and planted a variety of saplings. Students from all sections of classes Preschool-X also planted saplings in the school campus ground. A special assembly on Van Mahotsava was also conducted and the Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi, enlightened and encouraged the students to strive towards creating a greener and cleaner environment. The drive was a huge success as the students were enriched by the experience of being closer to nature and understanding their responsibilities towards Mother Earth.

21st June 2019: ShreeRam World School celebrates International Yoga Day
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – The Bhagavad Gita
“Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not just about exercise, but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.” Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11th December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga.
The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. Today it is practiced in various forms around the world and continues to grow in popularity.
ShreeRam World School celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2019 with great enthusiasm. The celebration began with breathing exercises followed by divine and peaceful meditation. Everyone performed various asanas and their importance was explained simultaneously. The students and the entire staff of the school were also enlightened on the benefits of yoga, yogic exercises, recharging the body with cosmic energy and promoting the self-healing process. The celebration concluded with an address by Head of School, Mrs Sudha Sadangi. She encouraged students to practice yoga on a regular basis to remain fit and improve concentration. It was all together a rejuvenating experience for the participants.

09th May 2019: Confluence 2019-20
Students of ShreeRam World School have brought laurels to the school in Confluence 2019-20 organized by K R Manglam, Vikas Puri. Lavith Anand and Aevish Dhall of Class IV bagged the third position in Ace the Pace (Dream Vehicle 2050). Yashika, Myra, Nehal, Meher, Anaya, Manya, Tanvi, Ishika, Prisha and Meher of Class V also bagged the third position in the Dance Drama (The Soil Story). Kudos to the young achievers!

26th April 2019: Workshop on Waste Management
ShreeRam World School organized a workshop on ‘Waste Management’ as part of the Earth Day Awareness Campaign, for the students of classes III to X as well as its staff members on 26th April 2019. Ms Rani Sahay from the NGO ‘Peepal - The Resilience Lab’ conducted the awareness workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to educate the students and provide them with holistic understanding of Waste Management issues. The workshop enlightened them about the current situation of waste generation in our city, Delhi. Students were informed how waste materials are segregated, processed and recycled and how to implement the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle with the help of various demonstrations. They promised to contribute to the Swachh Bharat Campaign by changing their attitude towards waste generation and implementing the best practices of waste management.
The workshop, which was attended by the Head of School, Mrs Sudha Sadangi, teachers and students, was indeed interesting, interactive, engrossing and a revelation for everyone present.

22nd April 2019: Earth Day Celebration
“The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth.” – Marlee Matlin
Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April as an annual event all across the world in order to increase the awareness among people about environmental safety as well as to demonstrate the environmental protection measures. As a step towards inspiring, educating and motivating children to act, a special assembly on Earth Day was conducted by the students of Class IX on 22nd April 2019.
The students presented a meaningful skit, which highlighted the significance of protecting the Earth and its natural resources, and suggested ways for the same. A dramatic and heart touching monologue by Mother Earth was showcased which demonstrated the side effects of humans trying to modify nature for their own selfish needs and the importance of keeping the environment green and pollution free. The children also recited a soulful poem on understanding our duties towards Mother Earth as responsible citizens.
The assembly concluded with the students sensitizing the audience that any small effort, even a tiny endeavour, would go a long way in saving humankind from disaster. A pledge was taken by all the students to value the generosity of Mother Earth and to create awareness to keep the Earth clean and green.
Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi motivated and enriched the young minds about the ways in which each one could contribute to safeguard planet Earth.

15th April 2019: Workshop on Disaster Management and Preparedness
“Every person who prepares is one less person who panics in a crisis.”
Disasters can happen anywhere and anytime. It is imperative to be prepared for one when it happens. Disaster Management can be defined as the management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters.
To sensitize the students of ShreeRam World School in the area of Disaster Management and Risk Reduction, a workshop on Disaster Preparedness and Management was organised on 15th April 2019. The workshop was conducted by Ms Rani Sahay from Peepal - The Resilience Lab. The session helped the students to understand the steps to be adopted in order to respond to various disaster situations. The students were reminded that a disaster strikes unexpectedly and causes significant physical damage, loss of life or sometimes a permanent change to the natural environment. It was told that planning, co-ordination and high state of preparedness are the necessary steps to handle crisis successfully. The relevance of small precautions that can save the lives of millions in times of sudden disasters was highlighted.
The session proved to be an informative lesson on life-saving skills.

05th April 2019: Welcome Assembly
A new session, a new beginning! To celebrate the start of the new Academic Session 2019-20, students of Class X-A enthusiastically put up a Welcome Assembly on Friday, 5th April, 2019.
The assembly began with the chanting of the pious Gayatri Mantra followed by a prayer to seek the blessings of the Almighty. The students inspired everyone by emphasizing on the importance of the new session where they will be learning new things, acquiring new skills and gaining new experiences. They also reminded all of some dos and donts of not committing the same mistakes again. A fun-filled rap and a lively dance performance grabbed everybody’s attention.
The Head of School, Ms Sudha Sadangi, addressed the students with her warm and encouraging words. She also inspired them to welcome each day as a new beginning and to chase their dreams with utmost dedication. Overall, it was a great start to the new session.

27th March 2019: Orientation Programme
ShreeRam World School is a nurturing ground for little children where each child is a unique repository of talent. The school aims to seek new and different ways to inspire every child to become a leader for whom the guiding principles are: I can, I will.
An Orientation Programme for Parents on ‘Positive Parenting’ was organized on 27th March 2019 to welcome the parents to the ShreeRam World School family and to familiarize them with the vision and mission of the school. Parents were acquainted with the facilities provided by the school, pattern of curriculum, rules and regulations, assessments and examinations, co-curricular activities, teaching methodology. The role of the school in providing equal opportunities of learning to all children coming from different strata of society was also highlighted.
The guest of honor, Dr Roma Kumar, child psychologist and trainer, enlightened the parents with valuable tips on good parenting and encouraged the parents to play a proactive role in their child’s education and holistic development. She also discussed about healthy eating habits amongst children. She emphasized on the importance of spending quality time with children and the vital role of parents during these formative years.
The Orientation programme helped to outline and reaffirm the teachers’ and parents’ role as partners in the progress of the child, paving the path for a healthy association.

12th March 2019: Workshop on Internet : A boon or bane
Internet has a great influence in our lives. It is a boon if used properly and a bane if used excessively.
Internet is the fastest means of communication and it has made the world a global village. It gives information in just a click. It has made the dream of Digital India possible. Online transactions, bill payments, shopping etc. have made our lives convenient. On the other hand, there are a host of games that are available on the Internet that have made children lazy and shun outdoor activity. They are falling prey to a lot of lifestyle related diseases such as obesity, poor eyesight, apart from failing to develop interpersonal skills.
In order to sensitise the students about the merits and demerits of Internet in their lives, a workshop was conducted for the students of Classes III-V on 12th March 2019. They agreed to the fact that Internet addiction is a major concern and they, along with adults, need to cut down its usage time. They also understood that they need to draw a line between the judicious use and excessive use of Internet, before this boon becomes a bane.

22nd February 2019: Visit to the Air Force Museum
ShreeRam World School organised an educational tour for the students of Classes II and III to the Air Force Museum, Palam, New Delhi on 22nd February and 27th February 2019 respectively. The museum gallery displayed historical photographs, uniform and personal weapons of the Indian Air Force. The students were fascinated by the display of aircraft guns, fighter airplanes, missiles, bombs and vehicles. The Apollo Lunar Module, which was made by the Indian artisans using Indian material, captivated their attention. The students were excited to know that this module carried astronauts Neil Armstrong, Rakesh Sharma and Edwin Aldrin. The tail portion of SUKHOI-7, which was damaged during a war, was exhibited and the students were touched by the damage caused because of war. They showed curiosity while observing the exhibits and it was an enlightening experience for them.

23rd January 2019: Annual Day Celebration
ShreeRam World School celebrated India’s 70th Republic Day and the school’s Annual Day on 23rd January, 2019 with great enthusiasm and vivacity.
Shri S.K. Sachdeva, esteemed Chairman of ShreeRam World School, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The revered dignitaries and honourable parents were cordially welcomed. The auspicious occasion commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
The event commenced with a scintillating invocation showcasing the auspicious aura of Lord Shiva. This was followed by the hoisting of flag and honorable Chairman’s motivational address to the audience.
The theme for the Annual Day was ‘Udaan Bharat Ki’, which symbolizes each individual’s contribution to continuously strive for progress, not only for individual growth but also for our nation’s development as a whole.
India’s Udaan is built on the platform of a beautiful and clean India. In the pursuit of taking our country towards advancement, the little ambassadors of Class 1 showed everyone the right path to achieve the goal of cleanliness and to secure the dream of a clean and green India. As a part of this mission, the students along with the parents and the dignitaries, took a pledge to take every step towards making our country clean. The message of environmental protection and the need for a ‘Swachh Bharat’ was well conveyed by the little ones.
Head of School, Mrs Sudha Sadangi, presented the annual school report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school in scholastic and co-scholastic areas during the academic year.
The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school in various curricular as well as co-curricular areas. The meritorious students in diverse fields were felicitated with trophies and certificates of appreciation.
Sports in India has witnessed unconventional changes and unstoppable growth. The students showcased some power-packed performances emphasizing on the importance of sports in one’s life and highlighting India’s progress as a great sporting nation.
Women are an integral part of human civilisation. No society or country can ever progress without the active participation of women in its overall development. Despite all odds, women in India are breaking barriers and creating history in diverse fields. A wide range of captivating performances showcased the power of women who continue to inspire us; the power which has conquered every field, be it sports, politics, literature, science and technology.
India is among the topmost countries in the world in the field of technological advancements. The students highlighted the impact of emerging technology in India and how it has revolutionized everyone’s day-to-day life.
India is envisioned as a unified and great nation. The grand finale emphasized on the need to continuously work towards fulfilling the dream of establishing India as a democratic superpower. The programme rose to the final crescendo with the performances focussing on the ‘Make in India’ initiative by the Government of India, with the aim of taking India to greater heights. The audience was mesmerized by the brilliant ‘Hauslon ki udaan’ song sung by the students in unison to conclude the event.
The day was indeed an overwhelming success and was highly appreciated by one and all.

22nd January 2019: Regional Science Exhibition
“Intelligent learning makes the learners intelligent.”
A CBSE Regional Science Exhibition was organized at ITL Public School, Dwarka on 22nd and 23rd January 2019.
Students from 68 schools across Delhi participated in this event to showcase their ideas with different innovations. The theme and sub-themes were as per the guidelines from NCERT.
Neeyati and Ananya Sharma of Class VI, Ashmita Sarkar of Class VII and Sandali Mishra of Class VIII presented their models based on the topics ‘Waste Management - Useless to Useful’ and ‘Resource Management – Innovation and You’. The objective of the exhibition was to encourage the spirit of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink. Posters depicting the themes contributed to the creation of a colourful ambience. They shared their creative ideas and solutions to everyday challenges through their innovative models. Their presentation was supported by eye-catching displays and research findings.
A panel of eminent judges from CBSE screened the projects. The judgement criteria included innovation, practicality and presentation. The judges appreciated the exhibits and applauded them for the knowledge they displayed at such a tender age. It is a matter of great pride that the students of ShreeRam World School were shortlisted for the final round on the basis of their scientific intellect while competing with the students of higher classes. It was an enriching experience for the students as it provided a platform for critical thinking and expression of creativity.

11th January 2019: Lohri Celebrations at ShreeRam World School
Lohri, the joyful harvest festival of Punjab, which is known to bring good luck, happiness and prosperity in the lives of all, was celebrated with much cheer and enthusiasm in ShreeRam World School. The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the bonfire by Hon’ble Chairman Sir & the members of the school management committee signifying the culmination of winters. Traditional folk songs, dancing and merry making infused positivity in the environment. The vibrantly dressed students and teachers presented a mesmerizing dance performance on Lohri which amalgamated the traditional folk songs and dances of Punjab including gidda.
The shining stars of Preprimary also presented a Special Assembly on this occasion. It was a visual treat to see the tiny tots dancing on a Punjabi folk song adding to the colours of Lohri.
The celebration invoked cheerfulness in the ambience. The efforts of the students and the staff were applauded by the audience with which the message of happiness and positivity was spread successfully.
